If you are one of the lucky ones to still be working from home, then I have put together a list of Black Friday sales that could up your game and make you more productive at home. Some of these tech deals are specific for work but others can add some fun to WFH as well.
NETGEAR - Nighthawk AX4200 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router - Black
What good is it to have lightning fast internet but sub par equipment to handle it? The ISP provided router/modem combo usually gets the job done but usually fails when it comes to features and getting the speed to all corners of your house. This AX4200 router hooks to the existing modem and takes over the routing of all traffic and wifi. If you are ok shelling out a little more for better performance then the AX11000 Pro will be a good fit. This router is a beast when it comes to speed and can handle 2.5G speeds from the ISP if they support it. Better coverage for large houses as well.
Nest Hub 7” Smart Display with Google Assistant (2nd Gen) - Chalk
I am fully invested in the smart home and what Google has to offer when it comes to smart speakers and displays. This deal gets you the 2nd gen display with Google Assistant. This comes in handy to ask it questions and get quick answers like the weather but works for WFH as well when calculating something without bringing out the calculator. It also can be synced to a calendar and give you a reminder of upcoming meetings.
CORSAIR - K55 RGB Pro LITE Full-size Wired Dome Membrane Gaming Keyboard
Much like my smart home obsession i also am a fan of Corsair. This keyboard is not the mechanical one so users that hate the noise will like this. It does have several macro keys on the left side that can be assigned to various shortcuts or perform repetive tasks. For example if you frequently use a Excel formula or open a website often you could assign that to one of the keys and execute it with the press of a button. It also integrates with the Stream Deck letting it run tasks from that software and vise versa.
Speaking of the Stream Deck i have to mention the XL version with 32 keys is also on sale right now. At Sterling the Stream Deck is used by each engineer to increase our productivity and reduce errors. The keys are small LCD screens that can be customized to do anything from muting your Teams call or opening a website to performing complex macros like logging into a website or pulling data from a excel sheet. The possabilites are endless.
While still rather expensive this is a heck of a deal on a 4k monitor. If you are still using a 1080p or 1440p monitor you are missing out when it comes to 4k. It's not just for the gamers or video editing. The increased workspace you get with the 4k resolution lets you put pages and app side by side or even split 4 ways and still be able to work.
